Fondly known as the green city in the sun, Kampala commercial and administrative capital of Uganda, bordering Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake. Spread over more than twenty hills; covered with red-tile villas and trees surround an urban Centre of contemporary skyscrapers. It is one of the fastest growing cities in Africa. Its architecture is a mixture of the modern, the colonial and the Indian. Its roads are its two million inhabitants.
In this downtown area, the Uganda Museum explores the country’s tribal heritage through an extensive collection of artefacts.
