Itinerary

Start your amazing day with a healthy breakfast and drive North West towards Murchison Falls National Park. You will make a stopover for lunch and a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which is the proud home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda. The sanctuary provides trained rangers who will ably guide you through the Rhino tracking expedition. You will have the opportunity to observe the rhinos at a very close and safe distance.

Murchison Falls National Park is home to 76 species of mammals including four of the “Big Five”, with huge herds of buffaloes and elephants, well-camouflaged leopards and a healthy population of lions. It is also known for its giraffes; in Uganda these can only be viewed here and in Kidepo Valley.

Begin this day with an early breakfast and an early morning game drive at Murchison falls and be prepared to see resident animals such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, lions and antelopes. Following lunch you’ll enjoy one of the best features of this Park – the boat cruise tour on the river Nile. You will see a variety of animals along the river banks among which are numerous crocodiles, buffaloes, antelopes are and elephants plus different birds such as water birds, shoebill storks and fish eagles. Time permitting; you will have the opportunity to hike the massive falls all the way to the top.

After an early breakfast, drive south west to Fort portal which is the largest city in the western region. Arriving in time for lunch in Fort Portal. After a healthy lunch you will have an opportunity of visiting the three surrounding explosion craters. This is a unique place in western Uganda that most find most enjoyable and is a combination of a nature walk, cave exploration and local culture as portrayed in the folklore that you will hear from your guide. Drive to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Dinner and over night at Primate Sky Tree House (Budget-end). Meal plan (Dinner)

Start the day with an early breakfast and thereafter drive to Kibale National Park which is home to over 1000 chimpanzees including the black and white colubus monkey, grey cheeked Mangabey and red tailed monkey.

Here you will be allowed to spend some time with these mesmerizing creatures, as you observe them swing from one tree to another, feed, play around or progress steadily on the ground right in front of you. Return to your lodge for lunch and thereafter head for a guided nature walk in Bigodi wetlands sanctuary which is rich in biodiversity and beautiful scenery, the wetland is a birder’s paradise with about 138 species. Located outside the park in Magombe Swamp it also hosts eight species of primates including the black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed, I’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, and olive baboons. Dinner and over night at Primate Sky Tree House (Budget-end).

After breakfast, early morning drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is Uganda's most popular tourist destination. After relaxation, lunch will be served at the lodge and thereafter visit the famous bat caves at Maramagambo Forest. The word “Maramagambo” was derived from a traditional tale in which a team of young people got lost within the forest, and it actually took them a number of days to trace their path back to the local village from which these had come from.

The cave has a viewing room built through funding from the Center for Disease Control in which visitors can observe the bats as well as the pythons that live alongside them. Enjoy a guided nature walk through the forest and head back to the lodge.

Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp (Budget end) Meal plan (Full Board)

With wonderful memories of the previous day, you will have an early breakfast as you prepare for a game drive in the Kasenyi area of the park. During the drive, you will be able to view and take photos of the Elephants, Lions, antelopes and buffalo among others. Return for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon you will enjoy a 2 hour boat ride along the Kazinga channel which is an oasis for many of the fascinating species that inhabit the park, and taking a boat tour along it gives visitors the chance to cruise just meters from hundreds of enormous hippos and buffalos while elephants linger on the shoreline.

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ishasha sector which is notably recognized for its resident Tree climbing lions that are an exceptional attraction and one among the highlights on all safaris taken within Queen Elizabeth National park. In addition to the fascinating population of the Tree Climbing Lions within the Ishasha visitor will also come across huge buffalo herds, numerous antelopes that keep crossing your path. After lunch, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget end) Meal Plan (Dinner)

Start your day with an early breakfast at your lodge and head to the Bwindi headquarters for an orientation and meeting with the park guide. You will then begin tracking the gorillas with the guide and other trackers. You will be able to monitor their way of living and also take photographs. The activity is accompanied by a hike through the forest and viewing of beautiful birds as well as different primates. Time permitting; thereafter visit the famous batwa community for a community and cultural experience.

Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget end) Meal Plan (Full Board)

You may decide to first take a guided nature walk within the verdant Bwindi forest, however this will highly depend on if you are to use the village trail or any of the 5 trails. In the afternoon after your lunch break, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi.

Because of the tiring experience in Bwindi, the majority of the clients will take pleasure in some time to relax on the shores of this beautiful lake. There are various activities for the guest to enjoy here such as swimming, bird watching, sun bathing including a boat trip around the islands as well as cycling.

After breakfast, early morning drive back to Kampala with lunch en-route. Later proceed to Kampala or Entebbe to a place or hotel of choice where your guide shall drop you or be transferred to Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your out bond flight back home or to your next destination.
