Introduction to Albertine Rift Landscape; Geological, Natural & Human History on the way to Baboon Cliff Panoramic View Point.

Early morning nature drive: tracking lions & hyenas (predator x prey x human relations & predator viability issues); visit to Lake George area & presentation of extremes over last half century, highlighting human x wildlife (terrestrial, aquatic, amphibic) interactions.
Visit to traditional salt mining, incl. flamingo lake. Game drive to Pelican Point.
Night drive: tracking large predators at night (hyenas, leopard & lions) & observation & interpretation of other nocturnal wildlife.

Game Drive & Interpretation of Savanna Ecology: Fire & Elephants etc.
Boat-ride on Kazinga Channel; Aquatic Ecology of Western Rift

 

Day 4

Crater Game drive & Paleontology of Great Rift; concluded by visit to Lake Kikorongo.
Visit to Maramagambo Forest; Introduction to Lowland tropical forest & its ecology (incl. visit to bat-snake cave); concluded by early night drive.

Early Visit to Kyambura Gorge, incl. chimp-tracking, followed by:
