Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to a Hotel in Kampala

On arrival you will be picked up by a guide from Equatorial wild safaris who will transfer you to your place of accommodation.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast at your Hotel in Kampala, you will be met by our guide who will transfer you to Fort portal town. The journey will take you through the lush green countryside on Mityana-Mubende road to Fort portal and stopover at some tea plantations and open swamp valleys. In the afternoon you will visit the crater region and then in the evening, transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will head to the Park headquarters at Kanyachu for chimpanzee tracking briefing by the Park Rangers. You will then head into the forest for a Half day search of chimpanzee. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable You will return to your lodge for lunch and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park for dinner and over night.

Day 4: Kyambura Gorge Chimpanzee Trekking and a Boat Trip on The Kazinga Channel

After an early breakfast you head out to the Kyambura Gorge for Chimpanzee trekking. After trekking you will return to your lodge for lunch and then go for an afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga channel for game viewing and Bird watching.

Day 5: Game Drive Then Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Begin your day with a cup of coffee. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi via the channel tracks which makes visitors encounter elephants, buffaloes, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and transfer to Bwindi through the Isasha sector for dinner and over night.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking

Up relatively early for a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for gorilla tracking, with your packed lunch report to the park Headquarters before 8:00 am for registration and general briefing. The guides will then take you through the bush, pushing your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas. (This trek can take from half an hour to 5 hours – a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes). Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them grumble to each other, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male; the silverback. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas. It’s amazing to think there are only about 800 of these beautiful creatures left.

Day 7: Transfer to Kampala

After breakfast you will begin your journey back to Kampala with a stopover at Igongo culture center for lunch and the Equator crossing for some photo shoots and a visit to the crafts village.

Day 8: Ngamba Island and Then Depature For Entebbe

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Water Front at Entebbe where you will take a boat ride to Ngamba Islands (23km) from Entebbe to visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Upon arrival at Ngamba Island, you will be welcomed by the duty caregiver of the Chimpanzees. Pre-arranged supplementary feeding times (11.00 am & 3.00 pm each day) brings the chimpanzees within meters of the raised walkway specially designed for easy viewing and provides excellent photographic opportunities. After having lunch you will take a boat ride back to Entebbe. You will return to the airport in the afternoon to catch your flight to your next destination.
